I have always enjoyed puppet making and puppeteering. As a child and teenager, I belonged to several puppet and acting groups.
While travelling full-time for a year I built several puppets. I've posted most of the info I came up with during those experiments.
During this time I finished two professional quality puppets. They each took around 30 hours to build. I will post pictures soon.
While not necissarily a puppet, I created a pattern for a kirby plush (from Kirby's Adventure). My kids frequently ask for video game characters so I do what I can. I've created a Chain Chomp, Luma, Mario Mushroom, Yoshi Egg, and Kirby so far. I created a pattern for the Kirby plush - enjoy! Photos soon ...
My Dad gave me several plans from his days of puppeteering. They are a little rough - not a lot of instruction, just unmarked patterns. I have them scanned and posted here. You will need to stitch some of the pictures together and print them out. Email me a picture if you use them, I'd love to see. There is a basic person design, a worm, and a really neat cow that can be made with this basic puppet pattern. I'll try to get pictures of the originals. He made them 25ish years ago and they still hold up well.
